Today, the Maryland Student Legislature released its 2024 End of Session report and legislative compendium. Each year, MSL compiles all legislation written and passed by its students as part of MSL’s simulation of the Maryland General Assembly and shares it with members of the MGA, their staff, and the public. Dear Members of the General Assembly and Friends:
For 35 years, the Maryland Student Legislature has had the incredible privilege of holding our Annual Session at the Maryland State House. Most recently, we met in the chambers and committee rooms on April 13-14, 2024 to discuss and debate legislation written by students from across the state.
We want to take a moment to share with you our annual compendium, which includes all of the legislation that the Maryland Student Legislature adopted during the 2023-24 academic year. MSL’s student delegates come from across the state and nation and represent a diversity of backgrounds and views. We hope that you will find their work interesting and worthy of your time.
As you may be aware, MSL often hosts members of the General Assembly to speak to students at our events. We also look forward to hosting an MGA shadowing day for Maryland college students during the 2025 General Assembly Session. If you are interested in joining us for an upcoming session of the Maryland Student Legislature or having a student shadow you for a day, please reply to this email.
