We are very pleased to release our 2022 annual compendium, which includes all of the legislation written and adopted by the Maryland Student Legislature. Each year, this compendium is provided to the members of the Maryland General Assembly as an example of the great work our students do. Dear Members of the General Assembly and Friends:
For 30 years, the Maryland Student Legislature had the incredible privilege of holding our Annual Session at the Maryland State House. But for the past two years, circumstances required that we meet virtually. After two challenging years, we were thrilled and honored to be able to return to the State House for our 33rd Annual Session a few months ago in April. Students representing nine colleges and universities across the state came together to debate original legislation they wrote on the most important issues facing our state.
We want to take a moment to share with you our annual compendium, which includes all of the legislation that the Maryland Student Legislature adopted at the 33rd Annual Session. MSL’s student delegates come from across the state and nation and represent a diversity of backgrounds and views. We hope that you will find their work interesting and worthy of your time.
As you may be aware, MSL often hosts members of the General Assembly to speak to students at our events. If you are interested in joining us for an upcoming session of the Maryland Student Legislature, please reply to this email.
