On Thursday, February 29, 2024, MSL hosted its first Legislative Shadow Day, giving students from colleges across the state the opportunity to accompany a member of the Maryland House of Delegates through a normal workday. Students observed floor proceedings in the House and Senate and accompanied members to committee hearings, meetings, and other activities. This event gave students an insider’s view of the MGA. Later this semester, students will participate in MSL’s 35th Annual Session, where they will return to the State House to participate in a simulation of the MGA.
